I've been painting for over 20yrs. Never really cared less about angled brushes. But your videos convinced me to try. I only use angle brushes now. I also paint frames before walls now . Because of trim paint being water-based now, most of the time. You don't get the flashing caused by oil based . Great vids and great pro 👍🏻

Can I ask what kind of brush are you using and when you’re done painting how do you get all the paint off of it? Also, if you have to stop in between, do you recommend wrapping the paint brush in plastic bag???

What about doing contrast trim? I just painted a clients trim in blue FIRST now I have to finish the walls in white. My thought process is that it would be easier to touch up the trim with the blue paint as opposed to touching up all the blue on the white walls.

What is your recommendations for covering "shine thru" of drywall vertical/horizontal seams that were taped out using PROFORM or DURABOND mixed with standard sheetrock mud?

When you go back and forth with the brush you put paint on but then take it off. Go one direction unless it's textured walls and then you sometimes have to go back and forth

Great video. I like how you showed the time lapse of doing the job at the end of the video. It's nice to see it being done in a DIY video.

10 years later its virtually ineffective time wise, water and energy use to even bother cleaning up after a few times of use. Its a sad state of affairs but even as a professional it's becoming unviable to clean up and cheaper to buy new if you take labour costs into the equation

As long as you kick out the brush and hold the bristles tightly you can flip it upside down. The biggest no for brushes is hot water. That’s what frays and ranges your brushes.

what about the dilution of the paint? Do you dilute to not more than 5% or you just keep the original viscosity? If you dont dilute it is quite impossible to do the painting.

I dont even two coat the wall near the baseboards/trim. If i have to two coat a room, i stay 1/4 inch or so away from the baseboards and trim with the roller on the first coat. Second coat, i do one wall at a time, then come back and cut in where its taped and remove the tape as i go while the paint it wet before moving to the next wall. Never had an issue. The area where i only one coated, you cant even tell it was only hit once.

It would be interesting to have the floor with a lot of orange covered with a brown rug that could be easily removed. Voila. Two colors for the price of one (with a quick rug removal).

I definitely have to use tape and scrape the brush. Thanks for the tips. I'm painting my baseboards myself today. How do you not get any paint dropping on the hardwood. That's some serious skill technique.

Gosh i hate 950a it dries too quickly complete garbage in my opinion Super Sticky gives you no time to tool Quick dry caulkings even give you more working time than that crap 850 is better Alex quick dry is my favorite at this time Im in the US however The UK and Australia are way ahead of us in painters caulking and sealants I think they add more silicone to theirs Higher silicone ratio No Nonsense is the best caulking i have ever used it’s from England

As far as roller cleaning use your 5 in one to remove excess paint. Then I put a couple gal. Of water in a 5 and using your extension work the roller up and down vigorously in the water then spin rinse with the water hose. 👌
